Yes — it’s true. Back in January, we left our old digs behind for a larger and more efficient space just up the road. It was a good 10 year run, but it was apparent that we had outgrown the space and needed to make a fresh start elsewhere. We didn’t move very far in terms of distance, but figuratively, it was a giant move for the company on so many levels.

On a Friday at the end of January, we shut down all of the equipment for the very last time. Everyone boxed up their belongings and equipment and bid a fond farewell to the place we called Intrigue’s “home”. The moving crew came in and did a fantastic job of transporting all of our gear to the new location at 425 Broadhollow Road. By Monday evening, after a few computer glitches were ironed out, we were fully set up and functioning again. Just amazing work by everyone who made it happen in such a short timespan.

The space we are in now was custom-designed specifically for our usage. We sat with the designers and pored over construction drawings for weeks. With a bit of back-and-forth collaboration, we arrived at a floor plan that is just fantastic! The construction crew did a fabulous job this past winter getting ready for us – tearing down the old walls and putting new ones up. New Sheetrock, ceiling, carpets, paint, etc. Everything is brand-new!

Aside from it being larger than our previous office, the new suite is laid out in a way that better supports the Intrigue workflow. We have our designers and artists located in the large, and open section. It is an airy space (with a fantastic window view of the outdoors!) for everyone to work more closely. It is easier to communicate when we are all in such close proximity – which was not the case in the old office.

The new space integrates a full kitchenette, Conference Room – with large screen TV for presentations, as well as several offices for the executive staff. With all the new amenities, it is a much more comfortable environment to be in, and allows us to generate great work more efficiently than in the past. On the tech side, we have a brand new network, with a high-speed gigabit ethernet backbone housed in our brand-new server room. All new equipment was installed for our network and communications machinery. Best of all, it was designed to allow us to “scale up” in the future.

As it’s now a few months into it, and the dust has fully settled. The stressful process that began many months ago, is all said and done. The new space has received high praise and rave reviews from everyone here at #BeINTRIGUE.
