What is life without a little challenge? Each week we will be giving our designers a theme to focus on. Their goal: to capture an image that they feel encapsulates the chosen subject. Other than sticking to the theme for the week, there are no restrictions.

I love the idea of this Instagram challenge on multiple levels. To truly embrace it requires you to become an active observer. It calls for you to go on an adventure and to explore both familiar and new places with a designer’s eye. The beautiful thing is that each of us approaches the theme in a different way. It’s always exciting to come together and see the various interpretations on the theme for the week. I find that talking with my coworker’s about their compositions and thought process inspires me to grow and push myself as well. The challenges have only just begun, but I look forward to seeing the results.
